Demãos · Own product
Less paperwork. More care.
Therapists record a short voice note after each session. Demãos turns it into structured documentation, the school keeps a useful record, and parents see what matters the same day.

The problem
Therapy sessions generate the information everyone around a child needs. But writing it down competes with the session itself. Parents receive too little context, and continuity breaks between the therapist, school and family.
My part
I co-founded Demãos with Issa Manuel and own product, design and engineering. I built the experience around the people doing the work: therapists, coordinators and parents, each with a different view of the same care record.
Key decisions
Capture without interrupting care
A short recording captures the session while it is still fresh. Portuguese speech transcription and background saving let the therapist focus on the child, rather than a form.
An AI draft, a human decision
The recording returns as a structured note with key moments and action points. The therapist reviews it and chooses whether to share with a parent, pass it to a colleague, or keep it private.
A calm view for the family
The parent view brings together upcoming sessions, relevant notes and observations from home. It avoids turning a child’s development into scores or traffic lights.
One place to run the school day
Coordinators see sessions, outstanding notes, missing documents and absence requests together. The interface supports a decision without forcing an investigation across separate systems.
On the desktop, too.
The same care record, set up for a full working day.

Where it landed
Live and in daily use at a special-needs school, where session notes now reach the people who act on them.
