The problem
The app had to serve tourists, residents and business travelers across languages. Its Arabic experience needed culturally appropriate content patterns, readable typography and accessible navigation.
My part
As a contract Senior UX Designer at Nortal, I owned the full Arabic adaptation: RTL layout, typography and accessibility. I also designed business traveler tools, the help center and internal content management workflows.
Key decisions
Adapt patterns, not just direction
I reworked content patterns for Arabic readers instead of simply mirroring the English interface. Layout, hierarchy and typography were considered together.
Support different reasons to visit
Business traveler modules brought meeting planning and relevant services into an app that also needed to support leisure and cultural exploration.
Make help easy to reach
The help center brought self-service resources and live assistance into a clear, centralized experience.
Design for the people behind the content
The CMS gave NEOM staff workflows for managing listings, media and updates, so the visitor experience could stay useful over time.
Inside the product.
The visitor experience, and the content tools behind it.
Where it landed
Delivered a localized Arabic experience and visitor-facing modules, supported by internal content management workflows.
